AdGate is an application developed for Future production teams to share, store and organise the files for advertisements running in some 70 magazine titles. It also includes a external face, where advertisers can directly upload their artwork.

The objective of the project was to provide an intuitive, user-friendly interface for non-technical teams to manage the huge volume of files passing through each month.

The flow of application was tightly pinned down from the start: it was divided into three key areas for uploading files, finding lost files, and viewing the current status of a particular magazine issue's advertising run.

We implemented a single, consistent workflow through each area, using a fold-out tree menu navigation for users to quickly find the right bits of information.

The simple XHTML model we used to build the interface enabled the tech team to very quickly integrate the back-end in Perl.

The finished application resulted in an improvement in the workflow and productivity of the teams using it.

And Plum had a very happy client.
