AdGate is an application developed for Future production teams to share, store and organise the files for advertisements running in some 70 magazine titles. It also includes a external face, where advertisers can directly upload their artwork.
The objective of the project was to provide an intuitive, user-friendly interface for non-technical teams to manage the huge volume of files passing through each month. |
|

The flow of application was tightly pinned down from the start: it was divided into three key areas for uploading files, finding lost files, and viewing the current status of a particular magazine issue's advertising run.
We implemented a single, consistent workflow through each area, using a fold-out tree menu navigation for users to quickly find the right bits of information. |

The simple XHTML model we used to build the interface enabled the tech team to very quickly integrate the back-end in Perl.
The finished application resulted in an improvement in the workflow and productivity of the teams using it.
And Plum had a very happy client.
